DURATION
ZOOM (Blended Learning) – ±2–3 days online, including scheduled live sessions with a facilitator.
eLearning – Fully online and self-paced. Learners can start, pause, and resume at any time.
Content includes video lessons, templates, and practical assignments.
When completed part-time, this course typically takes 5–7 days.
CERTIFICATE | SETA STATEMENT OF RESULTS
TrainYouCan continuously submits verification requests to the ETDP SETA.
Verification turnaround times depend on ETDP SETA availability and may range from
6 weeks to 4 months.

This unit standard forms part of project management qualifications registered on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF Level 4).
It is designed for learners who are involved in supervising and coordinating small or developmental project teams
across a range of economic sectors.
The course is particularly valuable for individuals working on community-based, donor-funded, non-profit,
or internal organisational projects, as well as those running small businesses where project management
skills are essential for success.
The qualifying learner is capable of:
- Explaining and applying appropriate organisational structures;
- Supervising and monitoring a developmental project team;
- Reporting progress against project objectives;
- Identifying and resolving problems within a project environment;
- Setting up, managing, and closing a developmental project.
COURSE SUMMARY
In particular, people credited with this unit standard are able to:
- Identify and solve problems affecting project delivery and team performance.
- Work effectively with others when supervising and coordinating a project team.
- Manage oneself and project activities with fairness, accountability, and transparency.
- Collect and analyse project information to monitor performance and progress.
- Communicate clearly and professionally when reporting to stakeholders.

Note: Any person wishing to offer accredited training or services may only do so with a valid
SOR (Statement of Results) issued by the ETDP SETA.
No other certificate may be used, even if it reflects the same unit standard.
ENROLMENT REQUIREMENTS
- Competence in communication and numeracy at NQF Level 3 or equivalent.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to use applicable software.
Basically, you must be able to read and write in English!
METHODS OF LEARNING
This course is offered through:
- eLearning – Self-paced online learning with video lessons, project templates,
and assignment-based evidence submission. - ZOOM (Blended Learning) – Live online sessions with a facilitator, focused on
real-world project supervision scenarios, supported by independent assignments.
How eLearning works: Learners complete modules at their own pace and submit evidence online.
How ZOOM blended learning works: Learners attend scheduled facilitator-led sessions,
followed by practical application and portfolio submission.
